MARY BETH VENTURA of Roanoke has been placed on the Founder's Day List at Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind., by earning recognition for academic achievement during the second semester.

Salem resident Elizabeth Ann Wright received the phlebotomy technician certificate.

Vinton residents receiving associate degrees were: Katherian Rotenberry Alderman, cum laude; Anita Marie Barton; Mary J. Bowman, magna cum laude; Kathleen Marie Ford; Lois Elaine Isom; Susan Taylor Woodson; and Kathy Doss Young, cum laude, all in nursing education; Karen Marie Sboray, occupational therapy assistant; Barbara D. Sacra, occupational therapy assistant.

Daleville resident Deborah Horne Jessen received the associate in science degree in occupational therapy assistant, summa cum laude.

Buchanan resident Ellen S. Morrow received the associate in science degree in health information management, magna cum laude.

Fincastle resident Jennifer L. Watson received the associate in science degree in nursing education, cum laude.

SARAH LOUANNE FLORY, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Randall K. Flory of Roanoke, has received the Centennial Commonwealth Citizenship Award from Randolph-Macon Woman's College, which she will attend this fall. She is a graduate of Northside High School.

TODD JASON LANGE, son of Mr. and Mrs. William E. Lange of Roanoke, was among 11 students from Hampden-Sydney College who recently completed a three-week study tour of Eastern Europe with particular emphasis on the Czech Republic.

The group traveled to Budapest, Hungary; Cracow, Poland; and Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic.
