BLACKSBURG FALL CLEANUP BEGINS

The Town of Blacksburg's Fall Cleanup will start Monday and run through Oct. 14, dividing the town into quadrants that will be serviced one week at a time.

The town crews will collect items not usually picked up with regular trash removal. Hazardous waste and tree stumps will not be collected.

Material must be placed at the curbside by 8:00 a.m. on the first day of clean up for the quadrant.

The town requests that the trash be separated as follows:

Refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners

Stoves, washers, dryers, hot water heaters

Sofas, mattresses, lumber and miscellaneous

Tires (passenger vehicle tires only)

Brush and tree limbs (no greater that 6 inches in diameter and 7 feet in length)
