SIGNS POINT TO TYPICAL RACE AT MARTINSVILLE

If all goes as planned, they'll have a new entrance sign outside Martinsville Speedway before the Goody's 500 on Sept. 25, repairing at least some of the damage done by a tornado that swept through the city on the night of Aug. 17.

When the tornado was done with the old sign, "it looked like they were shooting shotguns through it," says Dick Thompson the speedway's public relations director.
