Because of a copy editor's error, the date for the signing of the Constitution at Booker T. Washington National Monument was incorrect in Monday's Extra section. The event was Saturday.

Because of a reporter's error, a statement by Virginia Tech President Paul Torgersen was incomplete in Tuesday's paper. Torgersen said the school needs to keep a check on tuition because it is a public institution.

Because of a reporter's error, an item in Saturday's religion briefs column included incorrect information about the Sept. 25 open house for the New Hope Christian Therapy Program at Lewis-Gale Psychiatric Center. The open house is for professionals who may refer clients or parishioners to the program for treatment, not for potential patients. New Hope is a nondenominational treatment program for individuals experiencing symptoms related to a major psychiatric disorder.

Because of an editorial assistant's error, Friday's Calendar of Events gave the incorrect location for the Science Museum of Virginia's ``Livesky'' lecture on Friday. The lecture was held in Richmond.

Because of a reporter's error, the date of the Roanoke Express' next season-ticket open house at the Roanoke Civic Center was incorrect in Tuesday's Sports section. The open house will be held Oct. 9 from noon to 6 p.m.
