Fresh donuts, breads spread with apple butter boiled as you watch, fresh strawberry pie, sausage and pancake or egg breakfasts, country ham and barbecued beef sandwiches, barbecued chicken lunches, homemade vegetable soups, and all manner of take-home foods will only be part of the Mennonite-organized festivities, whose proceeds aid needy people worldwide.
An auction of hand-crafted furniture and artwork will begin at 9 a.m. with the main attraction - bidding on over 100 donated quilts, comforters, afghans and crib quilts - starting at 10:30 a.m. Needlework and small craft items will be available, as will Self-Help crafts, produced in 30 countries around the world where nationals are trying to become self-supporting by producing items typical of their cultures.
