HOLE TO PLAY

Seattle grunge rock band Hole will perform at the Commonwealth Ballroom in the Squires Student Center at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg on Oct. 1. Opening will be Madder Rose.

Hole is fronted by lead singer Courtney Love, wife of the late Kurt Cobain who committed suicide earlier this year. Cobain fronted the Seattle grunge band Nirvana.

Hole is touring to support its second album, "Live Through This."
