DEMONS HOLD OFF AUBURN 53-50

Christiansburg used strong post play in the fourth quarter to defeat Auburn 53-50 in a non-district girls' basketball game Wednesday.

Crystal Moles, a 6-foot-1 center, scored 17 points for the Demons (2-4), who led 16-6 after the first quarter. Auburn (4-3) rallied to make it 26-26 at halftime and 38-38 through three quarters behind 16 points from Michelle Collins.
