WYTHE COUNTY MAN DIES IN CAR CRASH

A Wythe County man was killed Sunday when the car he was riding in flipped over an embankment.

Dewey L. Richmond, 73, of Max Meadows, was in a car driven by Susan K. Richmond, according to state police. They were traveling north on Va. 21 about 1 p.m. when the car ran off the right side of the road. When Susan Richmond tried to compensate, the car overturned.

Dewey Richmond was taken to Wythe County Hospital, where he died two hours later.
