Auto parts maker acquiring assets

Automotive Industries Holdings Inc., Troy, Mich., manufacturer of automotive interior trim and under-the-hood components with a door panel plant in Covington, said Monday it has agreed to acquire the assets and business of the Gulfstream interior trim division of O'Sullivan Corp.

O'Sullivan, a Winchester-based maker of molded plastic products, said its Gulfstream operations had sales of $120 million in 1993, making trim at five plants in Virginia and Ohio for Ford and Honda. Purchase price of the assets is about $41 million plus the value of inventory at closing.

Columbia/HCA to buy hospital in Texas

Columbia/HCA Healthcare Corp., Louisville, Ky., parent of Lewis-Gale Hospital in Salem, said Monday it signed a letter of intent to acquire Angelo Community Hospital, San Angelo, Texas. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Angelo Community Hospital is a 142-bed, general acute-care hospital that was founded in 1929.
