MUSIC FANS ASKED TO BRING FOOD ITEMS

Fans can help support the Southwestern Virginia Second Harvest FoodBank at tonight's Clint Black concert at the Roanoke Civic Center. Each concert-goer is asked to bring a food donation of canned or dry goods.

The donated food will be distributed to the over 200 agencies in Southwest Virginia that are served by the Roanoke-based food bank.

The concert food drive is part of the national "Mama's Hungry Eyes" campaign against hunger. The campaign - supported by 16 top country music artists, including Black and Alan Jackson, who performed in Salem last week - will help support more than 300 food banks around the country.

Jackson's concert raised an estimated 500 pounds of food.
