ROBERTSON SCORES 1,000TH

Craig County's Chrissy Robertson scored the 1,000th point of her career as the Rockets defeated James River 44-39 in overtime Thursday night in Pioneer District girls' basketball.

Robertson poured in 23 points and grabbed six rebounds for Craig County, which led 20-12 at halftime. Bonnie Boardwine added 10 points for the Rockets (3-6 overall, 3-1 in the district). Tracy Caldwell and Laura Nelson each added seven rebounds late in the fourth quarter and in overtime.
