MAN KILLED WHEN VEHICLE RUNS OFF ROAD

State police said Barry Dale Finney of Pittsylvania County was dead at the scene of the accident on Virginia 890, near Virginia 600.

Police said Finney was driving a four-wheel-drive vehicle when he lost control and it ran off the left side of the road about 8:25 p.m. He was thrown from the vehicle when it hit an embankment and overturned.

Police said he was not wearing a seatbelt.
