OBIT-BARE, MARY LELIA MCCORMICK
BARE, Mary Lelia McCormick, 88, of Lexington, died Saturday, January 1,
1994, in the Stonewall Jackson Hospital. She was born May 26, 1905, in
Rockbridge County, daughter of the late James A. and Ruby Amole McCormick. She
was a member of the Buena Vista Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death
by her husband, O.T. "Tank" Bare. Surviving are two sons, Robert E. "Bob" Bare
of Lexington and F.E. "Pete" Bare of Buena Vista; one daughter, Gwendolyn B.
Stuart of Buena Vista; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one
great-great grandchild; two sisters, Elizabeth Hickman of Lexington and Winnie
Padgett of Pulaski; two brothers, Frank McCormick, Lexington and Lewis
McCormick of Buena Vista. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, January 3,
1994, at the Lomax Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Marc Sherrod officiating.
Interment will be at Green Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends Sunday
from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Lomax Funeral Home.
