OBIT-WAGNER, WILLIAM BERNARD

WAGNER, William Bernard, 63, of Buena Vista, died Saturday, January 1, 1994 in the Stonewall Jackson Hospital. He was born in Buena Vista December 28, 1930, the son of Grace Chaplin Wagner and the late Norman E. Wagner. He was the retired Personnel Manager of Modine Manufacturing Corporation. He is a member of the Masonic Lodge, former member of the Chamber of Commerce, City Council, American Legion, Rotary Club and past Scout Master of Troop #68. He served in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Surviving, along with his mother of Buena Vista, is his wife, Shirley Hudson Wagner; two daughters, Susan E. Wagner, Montebello, Emily Grace Tyree, Richmond; one son, Richard M. Wagner, Buena Vista; three grandchildren, Shawn Wagner, John Wagner and Afton Tyree; one sister, Mildred Anderson, Buena Vista; one brother, Norman Wagner Jr., Fairhope, Ala. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, January 3, 1994, at the Buena Vista Presbyterian Church, by the Rev. Marc Sherrod. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at their home. Memorial donations may be made to the Buena Vista Rescue Squad or the Buena Vista Presbyterian Church.
