DOWNS, William Raymond, ("Billy"), 49, of Charlotte, N.C. formerly of Roanoke, died Friday, December 31, 1993, in Charlotte. Surviving are his wife, Anna Downs; three sons, Billy Downs, Steven Downs both of Charlotte, Scott Downs of Roanoke; two daughters, Tammy Downs, Roanoke, Melinda Downs of Charlotte; a grandson, Jamie Downs; mother, Elizabeth West; grandmother, Annie Downs; sisters, Pamela Hedrick, Melody Baker all of Bedford; Brenda Wimmer, Shawsville. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Olive United Methodist Church, Bedford Co. the Rev. Aaron J. Rummage will officiate. Interment will be in the Mount Olive Cemetery. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke from 9:30 a.m. on Monday.
