Mr. Ralph Cooke and Ms. Carole Cooke of Richmond, Va. announce the engagement of their daughter, Rebecca Lynn, to Melvin Ray Slough, son of Mr. and Mrs. Francis L. Slough, Sr. of Rocky Mount, Va. Miss Cooke attends Ferrum College. Mr. Slough graduated from Ferrum College. He is employed by the Sheriff's Dept. of Bedford Co. A September wedding is planned.
