WYTHE COUNTY LOSING 16-YEAR ATTORNEY

Willard Lester, who has been Wythe County attorney since mid-1977, will leave the office Feb. 28.

He said he was stepping down because of increasing demands on his time from his business interests. Lester is also a former assistant commonwealth's attorney for Wythe, and a former commonwealth's attorney in neighboring Bland County, where he also serves as county attorney.
