OBIT-ROBERTSON, GILBERT ODELL
ROBERTSON, Gilbert Odell, 84, of Roanoke, passed away Saturday, January 1,
1994, at his home. He was retired from American Bridge U.S. Steel and the
Roanoke County Public Service Authority. He was a member of St. Andrew's
Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, Woodmen of the World, and the
Anglo-American Club. Surviving are his wife, Banie C. Robertson; daughter and
son-in-law, Judy R. and Steve E. Hunt, Merrimack, N.H.; three grandchildren,
Maurice King Jr., Auburn, Wash., Laura K. Fracker, Roanoke, Paige K. Lafon,
Kitty Hawk, N.C.; three great-grandchildren, John and Jacob Fracker, Michaela
King; four brothers, Melvin Robertson, Lewis Robertson, both of Roanoke, Jack
Robertson, Houston, Texas, Charlie Robertson, Montvale; one sister, June
Edwards, Roanoke. The Knights of Columbus will present their service 7 p.m.
Wednesday at Oakey's North Chapel. A memorial service will be conducted 11:15
a.m. Thursday at St. Andrew's Catholic Church by the Rev. Father Randy Rule.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at
Oakey's North Chapel.
