OBIT-LOGWOOD, BEULAH ELIZABETH NICHOLS

LOGWOOD, Beulah Elizabeth Nichols, 84, of 1505 Oakwood Street, Bedford, died Sunday, January 2, 1994 in a Bedford nursing home. She was born in Bedford County on July 24, 1909, a daughter of the late Victor Walter Nichols and Callie Reed Mason Nichols. She was a member of Bedford Baptist Church and retired teacher with the Bedford County Public Schools. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd R. Logwood. She is survived by one sister, Frances N. Scott, Bedford; four nieces, Mrs. Judy S. Masselam, Needham, Mass., Dr. Jean A. Scott, Williamsburg, Va., Mrs. Mary Read S. Gillispie, Lynchburg, Mrs. Carol S. Rogers, Walkerton, Va.; one nephew, Edward Nichols Smither, Richmond; special friends, Telsie and Mary Haga and family. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 5, 1994 in the Greenwood Cemetery, with the Rev. Dr. Carl H. Douglass Jr. and Rev. Karla Gee officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Home.
