OBIT-PERKINS, HERMAN POWHATAN SR.

PERKINS, Herman Powhatan Sr., 63, of Rocky Mount, died Sunday, January 2, 1994. Mr. Perkins was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Ann Perkins; a son, Herman P. Perkins Jr. Surviving are his wife, Katherine W. Perkins; his children and their spouses, Billy C. and Barbara Perkins, Hardy, Millie and Michael Ayers, Rocky Mount, Debbie and Ricky Peters, Roanoke, Robert and Brenda Perkins, Roanoke; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; five brothers and four sisters. Funeral services will be conducted at Lotz Roanoke Chapel at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 5, 1994, with the Rev. I. W. Sloan officiating. Interment in Bethlehem Church Cemetery, Franklin County. The family will receive friends at Lotz Roanoke Chapel from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
