LONG, Norton E. 83, of Blacksburg, passed away Thursday, December 30, 1993,
of a heart attack in Wheeling, Ill. He was the beloved husband of the late,
Jane H. Long; dear father of Margaret Jurich, Judith Stalling, Eliot Long and
Mary Reeves; grandfather of 13; great-grandfather of four. He was a professor
at the Center of Public Administration & Policy, Virginia Polytechnic
Institute. Private funeral services will be held at the family home in
Massachusetts. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Children's
