OBIT CASTEEL, RALPH LEE

CASTEEL, Ralph Lee, 87, of Roanoke, died Monday evening, January 3, 1994, in a local hospital. Mr. Casteel was retired from the N&W general offices. He was a member of BPO Elk #197, Knights of Pythias and Grandin Court Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Ella Thrasher Casteel; daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra C. and James R. Hunziker, Staunton, Carolyn C. and Jim F. Wynne, Roanoke; grandchildren, Beth Hunziker, Jason Hobbie, Laura Hobbie; two sisters, Mrs. Willie Statome, Mrs. Ruth Menefee, both of Roanoke. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Oakey's South Chapel. The Rev. Philip Motley, the Rev. Carol Johnston, and the Rev. Robert M. Hamner will officiate. Entombment will be in Ferncliff Abbey at Evergreen Burial Park. Friends may call at Oakey's South Chapel from 10 a.m. Wednesday. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
