OBIT FLETCHER, IRENE DAVIS

FLETCHER, Irene Davis, 82, of Route 1, Narrows, died at her home Tuesday morning, January 4, 1994. She was born at Willowton, W.Va., on July 28, 1911, and was the daughter of the late Walter and Minnie Meadows Davis. She attended the Assembly of God and the Church of God of Prophecy, both in Pearisburg, and was preceded in death by five sisters. She is survived by her husband, Theodore R. Fletcher; a son, Franklin W. Fletcher, Floyd; daughters, Shirley Conley, Salem, Juanita Higgs, Pearisburg, Linda Farley and Darlene Fletcher, both of Narrows; a brother, Curtis Davis, Pearisburg; sister, Erselle Gautier, Rich Creek; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Riffe's Funeral Chapel in Narrows, with the Rev. Tony Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in the Fletcher Cemetery, Route 1, Narrows. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
