OBIT RICHARDS, ROY HENRY

RICHARDS, Roy Henry, 72, of Christiansburg, died Monday, January 3, 1994, at his home. He was a retired employee of the Montgomery County Schools, having served as custodian at Christiansburg High School for many years. He is survived by his wife, Ida Belle Richards; two sons, Joe Reed, Christiansburg, Kenny Richards, Riner; two daughters, Mary Richards, Bobbie Ogle, Christiansburg; one brother, James Richards; four sisters, Mary Epperly, Irene Thompson, Betty Shelor and Francis Smith, all of Christiansburg; 9 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, January 6, at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Homer D. Sawyer, with burial in Sunset Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 Wednesday evening at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home.
