OBIT LINDAMOOD, LEONA ROGERS
LINDAMOOD, Leona Rogers, 90, of Roanoke, died Tuesday, January 4, 1994, in
a local hospital. Mrs. Lindamood was a graduate of Radford University and
taught school for over 40 years, first in Saltville, Va. and later in Roanoke
City. She was a member of Huntington Court United Methodist Church and was the
widow of Charles B. Lindamood. Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law,
Virginia Ann and Edward C. Welsh, Portsmouth; grandson, Edward C. Welsh III
and three great-grandchildren, all of Chicago. In lieu of flowers, the family
requests that memorials be made to Roanoke Emergency Medical Services, 374 Day
Avenue, S.W., Roanoke, VA 24016. A graveside service will be conducted 1 p.m.
Thursday in Sherwood Memorial Park, by the Rev. Walter M. Lockett Jr. The
family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Oakey's North
Chapel.
