OBIT PUGH, FRANCES L.
PUGH, Frances L., 72, of Roanoke, formerly of 2426 Richelieu Ave. S.W.,
died Wednesday, January 5, 1994, in a local hospital. She was the widow of
Thomas O. Pugh. Mrs. Pugh was a member of South Roanoke United Methodist
Church and the UMW. Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and James
Ingram, Roanoke; sons, John T. Pugh, Roanoke, Brenner T. Pugh, Richmond, Dr.
Jeffrey C. Pugh, Elon College, N.C.; grandchildren, Ashley and Kinner Ingram,
Roanoke, Miriam and Joy Pugh, Elon College, N.C.; nephew, James Kennedy,
Greensboro, N.C.; brothers-in-law, Ben Pugh, Henderson, N.C., William Pugh,
Raleigh, N.C. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Thursday, at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday
at Sherwood Memorial Park conducted by the Rev. Edward J. Taylor Jr. and Dr.
M. Douglas Newman. The family suggests memorials be made to Camp Alta Mons,
c/o South Roanoke United Methodist Church, 2330 S. Jefferson St., Roanoke, Va.
