OBIT ESTES, JACK ALFRED

ESTES, Jack Alfred, 87, of Wrightsville Beach, N.C., died Tuesday, January 4, 1994, in New Hanover Regional Medical Center. He was born in Atlanta, Ga. on September 21, 1906, the son of the late Thomas Raines and Henrietta Phillips Estes. Mr. Estes was a member of St. Andrews on the Sound Episcopal Church. He was a graduate of Georgia Tech, and a Lt. Commander in the U.S. Naval Reserve having served in World War II. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Agnes Covington Estes; his daughter, Alice Estes Tucker and husband, Vance and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 7, 1994, in St. Andrews on the Sound Episcopal Church by Rev. William B. Trimble. The family will receive friends following the service in the Parish Hall of the Church. Memorials may be made to the St. Andrews on the Sound Episcopal Church, 101 Airlie Road, Wilmington, N.C. 28403. Arrangements by Mortuary Market Street Chapel.
