SUPERVISORS TEAM RETURNS IN CRAIG COUNTY

The Craig County government has decided to keep the same team for 1994.

Zane Jones will remain as chairman of the Board of Supervisors; John Lee will be vice chairman; and Richard Flora will be county administrator and board secretary.

The appointments were made at the board's reorganization meeting Monday.

Jones has been a member of the board for 38 years and chairman for all but about two years of that time. He lives in the Sinking Creek area and represents the Simmonsville Magisterial District.

Lee, who represents the Alleghany Magisterial District, has been a board member for 14 years.

The other member of the three-member board is Donald Caldwell, who represents the New Castle District.

The board also decided to keep its current meeting schedule - the first Monday at 3:30 p.m., and the third Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. All meetings are held in the county courthouse in New Castle.

The board learned that Pam Cox has resigned from the Blue Ridge Community Services Board, formerly the Mental Health Services of the Roanoke Valley. The supervisors did not take any action on naming a successor.
