Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, R-Texas, was re-indicted Thursday in Austin on a felony misconduct charge alleging she misused state employees and computer equipment and covered up evidence when she was Texas' treasurer.

The 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals refused Wednesday to rehear an appeal from The Citadel, a state-supported military college in Charleston, S.C. That removed one of the last obstacles blocking Shannon Faulkner from enrolling. College attorney Dawes Cooke said he planned to ask the appeals court Thursday for a stay so the school can petition the U.S. Supreme Court to hear its appeal.
