OBIT BROWN, HYLAS TRENT SR.
BROWN, Hylas Trent Sr., 88, of 4020 Woodmar Drive, Roanoke, formerly of
Wythe County, died Wednesday, January 5, 1994, in the Lewis Gale Hospital,
Salem, Va. He was a retired locksmith. He is survived by three daughters and
sons-in-law, Wanda and James Kirby of Lexington, Eva and Les Hooley of New
Paris, In., Ora and Haven Nicely of Lexington; one son and daughter-in-law,
Hylas and Barbara Brown Jr. of Rocky Mount; one stepdaughter, Gwendolyn Graham
of Roanoke. 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 4 stepgrandchildren and 5
step-great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be 2 p.m.
Saturday, January 8, 1994, in the chapel of the Grubb Funeral Home, conducted
by the rev. Mrs. Ann Blair, with interment to follow in the Mt. Pleasant
United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Grubb
Funeral Home Friday evening from 7 to 9. The Grubb Funeral Home is in charge
of the arrangements.
