OBIT CROWDER, ELMER JAY

CROWDER, Elmer Jay, ("Pete"), 81, of Fincastle, died Thursday, January 6, 1994. He was a member of the Paxton Chapel Church. He is survived by his wife, Norine G. Crowder of Fincastle; one son, Steve E. Crowder of Fincastle; one daughter, Reta C. Arthur of New Castle; one brother, Gilbert Crowder of Fincastle; three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 8, 1994, 2 p.m. at the Rader Troutville Chapel, with the Rev. Dewey Weaver Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Crawford Memorial Cemetery, Craig County. The family will receive friends Friday, 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the Fincastle Rescue Squad.
