OBIT PUTNEY, LOUISE SHOFFNER

PUTNEY, Louise Shoffner, 86, of Roanoke, died Thursday, January 6, 1994, in a Vinton nursing home. She was a resident of our Lady of the Valley for 4 years, where she had many devoted friends. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth P. and Robert W. Brown of Vinton; grandsons, Robert and Christopher Brown; one sister, Mrs. Dorothy S. Brown of Roanoke; two nieces, Mrs. Dorothy B. Piedmont of Roanoke, Mrs. Anne B. Lanman of McLean; one nephew, S. Realow Jr. of Roanoke. A funeral mass was held at St. Andrew's Catholic Church 11:15 a.m. Friday, January 7, 1994, with the Rev. Joe Metzger officiating. Interment will be in St. Andrew's Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
