WEBB, Eula Booth, 89, of Bristol, Va., died Wednesday evening, January 5,
1994 in the Bristol Regional Hospital. She was a former resident of Abingdon
before moving to the Bristol House Retirement Center in Bristol, Va. She was
the widow of Mr. L. Garnett Webb. She was born in Washington County and was a
graduate of Radford State Teachers College, Radford, Va. She was a retired
teacher, having taught for 44 years, with the last 27 at William King and
Abingdon High Schools. She was active in her church, Mountain View Baptist
Church; a member of the Business and Professional Women's Club, and a member
of the Retired Teachers Association of Washington County. Survivors include
one sister, Mrs. Virginia B. Lester, Roanoke; four nieces; seven nephews;
several grand-nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Webb will be held
2 p.m. Saturday, January 8, 1994, in the Farris Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Fred
Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Knollkreg Memorial Park. The
family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, prior to the funeral.
Casketbearers are Wallace Smith Jr., A. J. "June" Miller, George Hockett, John
Yeatts, Fred Bellamy, Earl Farmer, Joy Hayter and Jack Snavely. In lieu of
flowers, memorials may be made to the Washington County Public Library, 205
Oak Hill St., Abingdon, Va. 24210. Farris Funeral Service is in charge of
arrangements.
