NAMES ON CAMPUS

ANNA MURCHISON of Blacksburg recently spent three months in Kenya for a study contrasting Western and non-Western cultures. She is a student at Earlham College in Indiana, which promotes international study. Anna is the daughter of Cameron and Joan Murchison.

\ GEOFFREY SAY of Blacksburg graduated from the University of Cincinnati following the summer quarter.

\ PAUL GERARD STEMN of Blacksburg recently joined Phi Beta Kappa, an academic honorary society for undergraduate students in liberal arts and sciences. Stemn is a student at Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind.

\ MARY BETH WILLIS, a senior at Mary Washington College and 1990 graduate of Blacksburg High School, is the recipient of the Free-Lance Star scholarship, which recognizes outstanding students in writing and journalism. She has been a staff writer for the student newspaper and tutors at the University Writing Center. Willis is the daughter of Mina and Larry Grossman.

Emory & Henry College student MEGAN RENCSOK of Christiansburg appeared in the drama "Steel Magnolias" in December. Rencsok played the role of "Clairee" in the play, which won rave reviews as a 1989 movie. Rencsok is the daughter of Charles and Dianne Rencsok. KATHLEEN LANGHI of Radford played the character Annelle.

\ DEBORAH WORLEY, daughter of Chip and Donna Worley of Blacksburg, was elected Panhellenic representative of the Epsilon Epsilon chapter of Sigma Kappa at the University of Georgia. Worley is an international business major and involved with the university yearbook, sports and the student government.

\ KIMARI WRIGHT of Elliston was one of 24 students at Emory & Henry College who have been added to the school's Bonner Scholar Program. Every Bonner Scholar does at least 10 hours of volunteer work a week and receives an annual scholarship of $3,700 to cover some college expenses. Wright is a graduate of Shawsville High School and the daughter of Kenneth and Karen Wright.
