BABY, NOT BANDIT, FOUND IN BACK OF GETAWAY CAR

A police officer who looked in the back seat of a suspected getaway car used in a Henrico County bank robbery didn't find an accomplice - he found a 10-month-old baby boy.

"I looked in the back seat immediately behind where she was sitting and there's a baby in a car seat covered in bank coin wrappers," Henrico County police officer Joe Tyler said. "And he was having a ball playing with them."

Police said a woman entered Jefferson National Bank about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday and demanded money. But shortly after leaving the bank, the suspect dropped the loot and fled when a dye pack inside the money bag exploded.

Tyler caught up with the suspect, Denise H. Price, 34, as she sat parked at a shopping center.
