OBIT WILKINSON, SELMA HAYES

WILKINSON, Selma Hayes, 93, of Roanoke, passed away Friday, January 7, 1994, at Friendship Manor. She was the widow of ("Jack") Morrison Wilkinson and a long time member of the Thursday Morning Music Club. She was the former pianist of Raleigh Court Presbyterian Church, after attending Chicago Musical College. She worked for the Norfolk & Western Railroad until her retirement in 1964 and was a member of the Business Women's Club. She is survived by her twin brother, Albert Hayes and sister-in-law, Frances; also many nieces and nephews. A graveside funeral service will be held noon Monday at Evergreen Cemetery, with the Rev. Robert D. Smith officiating. Friends may visit at Oakey's Downtown after 10 a.m. Sunday.
