OBIT MURRAY, ST. ELMO

MURRAY, St. Elmo, ("Snooks"), 81, of Boones Mill, died Thursday, January 6, 1994. Mr. Murray was a retired employee of Applachian Power Company. Surviving are his wife, Juanita W. Murray; daughter and son-in-law, Ann M. and Simon Thompson, King, N.C.; son and daughter-in-law, Frederick and Rosi Murray, Richmond; four granddaughters and grandson-in-law, Lisa and Rex Decker, Ocean Side, Calif., Shannan Thompson, King, N.C., Amanda and Aimee Murray, Richmond; one great-granddaughter, Jorden Decker, Ocean Side, Calif.. Also surviving are several nieces and many special friends. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel, 2 p.m. Sunday, with the Rev. James Steele officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. The family suggests memorials be made to the Boones Mill Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 73, Boones Mill, Va. 24065. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Saturday, with the family receiving friends from 7 to 9 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service, 342 South Main St., Rocky Mount.
