OBIT ROBINSON, MARY MYRTLE SOWERS

ROBINSON, Mary Myrtle Sowers, 93, of Blacksburg, died Friday, January 7, 1994, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. Mrs. Robinson was born in Montgomery County, April 7, 1900, a daughter of the late William Taylor and Almetia Dorabelle Chaffin Sowers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie E. Robinson Sr. Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Lana R. Saunders and Joyce R. and Fred Lovern, all of Blacksburg; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Taylor Rudolph Robinson, Christiansburg and Archie E. Jr. and Ellen Robinson, Blacksburg; one brother, Gilbert (Red) Sowers, Shawsville; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held2:30 p.m. Sunday, January 9, 1994, at Blacksburg First Wesleyan Church, with the Rev. John M. Hopkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Robinson Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home.
