OBIT-LLOYD, HARRY C.

LLOYD, Harry C., 81, of Roanoke, died Friday, January 7, 1994. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the 3rd Army. He was retired from Hennis Freight Line and was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Cecil Lloyd. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Frances Edwards Lloyd; a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Ricky Underwood, Vinton; a granddaughter, Jerica Underwood; a grandson, Eric Lloyd, Canton, Ohio; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Annie Deal and Kathryn Lantz, both of Roanoke, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's Vinton Chapel, 1 p.m. Monday, January 10, 1994, with the Rev. Oscar T. Pugh officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
