OBIT-TRENT, FONROSE MILLNER, ("FRANK")
TRENT, Fonrose Millner, ("Frank"), 80, of Arlington, died Friday, January
7, 1994 in a nursing home in Fairfax. He had suffered a stroke in June 1993.
He was born in Spencer, October 21, 1913, son of the late Gordon Lee Trent and
Ella Griggs Trent. He was in the 1933 graduating class of Hardin Reynolds
Memorial High School in Critz. He was co-founder of Cooper-Trent, a printing
and drafting company in Arlington and also formed Frank M. Trent and
Associates, Inc., also in Arlington. He was founder and owner of the Gordon
Trent Golf Course in Spencer, a member of the Washington Golf and Country Club
and was a member of the Walker Chapel United Methodist Church in Arlington. He
is survived by his wife of 56 years, Katherine Cooper Trent of the home in
Arlington; two daughters, Julie T. Coleman and Mary T. Scott of Fairfax; one
brother, Charles Trent of Roanoke; two sisters, Julia T. Wingfield of
Martinsville and Ruth T. Reubusch of Staunton; eight grandchildren; two
great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Floyd Trent,
who was associated with the Gordon Trent Golf Course, also Don and Thomas
Trent. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Critz
Baptist Church in Critz with the Rev. Billy J. Dixon officiating. Burial will
follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 7
to 8 p.m. at the Howell Funeral Home in Stuart.
