OBIT HODGES, ELIZABETH FRANCES

HODGES, Elizabeth Frances, 90, of the 9400 block of Sturgis Street, Norfolk, formerly of Roanoke, died Saturday, January 8, 1994, in a Norfolk nursing home. Mrs. Hodges was born in Roanoke County, Virginia, and was preceded in death by her husband, Harry R. Hodges Sr., and her son, Harry R. Hodges Jr. She was a retired real estate secretary with E.F. Jamison Company, Roanoke. She was a member of the Belmont United Methodist Church, Roanoke, where she had a perfect attendance record of thirty-three years. While living in Norfolk, she had attended Epworth United Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Mary H. Banks of Norfolk; 6 grandchildren, Sandra A. Baxley, Timothy M. Hodges, Jeffrey R. Hodges, Melinda S. Yeattes, Amy E. Hart, Kelle M. Long, and 14 great-grandchildren. The body is being sent from the Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, to Oakey's Funeral Home, Downtown Chapel, Roanoke. The funeral service will be held noon Tuesday, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Roanoke. The family will receive friends at Oakey's Funeral Home, Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Belmont United Methodist Church, 806 Jamison Ave., S.E., Roanoke, Va.
