OBIT MARTIN, ELMER RAY
MARTIN, Elmer Ray, 60, of Hillsville, passed away Sunday, January 9, 1994,
at the V.A. Hospital, Salem. He was born February 24, 1933, in Carroll County,
to the late Steve Martin and Bernice Montgomery Martin. He is survived by his
mother, Bernice Martin; one sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Bob Alderman
of Blacksburg; two half brothers, Marlin P. Martin of Alexandria and Barney
Verlin Martin of Norfolk; five nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be
conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 12, 1994, at the Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady
Chapel, Hillsville, Va., with the Rev. Elder Joe H. McGrady officiating.
Burial will be in Felts Cemetery at Galax. The family will receive friends
Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 at the funeral home. Funeral arrangements by
