SEGA PULLS `NIGHT TRAP' GAME FROM MARKET

A video game that was the focus of congressional hearings to end violence in that industry has been pulled from the market by one of the nation's largest distributors.

Over the weekend, Sega of America Inc. stopped selling "Night Trap," a video game in which hooded killers drain blood from scantily clad women.

In an announcement Monday, the company said it would release a new version of the game once an industrywide ratings system is in place.
