OBIT SPIEGEL, WILLIAM GRADY JR.
SPIEGEL, William Grady Jr., 54, of Salem, died Monday, January 10, 1994, at
his residence. He was born in Princeton, Kentucky on July 9, 1939, a son of
the late William Grady Spiegel Sr. and Stella Mae Brown Spiegel. He retired in
1987 from IBM and became co-owner of For The Birds. He was a charter member of
Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit. He is survived by his wife, Margaret
Holland Spiegel; a son and daughter-in-law, W. Grady Spiegel III and Robbie
Spiegel, Asheville, N.C.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lee and Chris Frye,
Mocksville, N.C., Phyllis and Jeff Crooke, Pulaski; two grandsons, Stephen and
Catlin Frye, Mocksville, N.C. A memorial service will be conducted at North
Cross School, Wednesday, January 12, 1994, at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Quig
Lawrence officiating. Those wishing to make memorials, consider Episcopal
Church of the Holy Spirit, or the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. Arrangements
are being handled by Carder-Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford.
