OBIT DICKERSON, CORA JANNEY

DICKERSON, Cora Janney, 82, of Floyd, passed away Monday, January 10, 1994 in a Salem hospital. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Frank Vaughn, Willis; son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Linda Dickerson, Floyd; one brother, James Janney, Thomasville, N.C.; four sisters, Beatrice Sparker, Roanoke, Ruth Poff, Dorothy Goad, both of Floyd, Alberta Chastain, Roseville, Ga.; five grandchildren, Robyn Vaughn, Hillsville, Neal Vaughn, Joel Vaughn, both of Willis, Faith Dickerson, Marcus Dickerson, both of Floyd; eight stepgrandchildren; seven stepgreat-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Floyd Baptist Church, with the Rev. Alton L. Griffin officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Maberry Funeral Home.
