OBIT WILLIAMS, OLIE LEE JR.

WILLIAMS, Olie Lee Jr., ("Jack"), 76, of the Maybrook Community near Pembroke, died Sunday, January 9, 1994, in a Pearisburg hospital. Born in Giles County, Va., April 30, 1917, he was the son of the late Olie and Mary Bonds Williams. Jack was a member of the Newport-Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church, a veteran of the U.S. Army in World War II, a self-employed merchant and an employee of Hoechst-Celanese Celco Plant. He was preceded in death by a sister, Maxine Hall and two brothers, Everett Williams and Marvin Williams. Surviving are his wife, Georgia Habernigg Williams; one son, Ron Williams of Congers, Ga.; one brother, John Williams of Narrows; two sisters, Alice Whitmire of Roanoke, and Susie Blackmon of Staffordsville, and a special sister-in-law, Virginia Williams of Pembroke; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, January 11, 1994, 2 p.m. in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel in Pembroke, Va. Entombment will be in Birchlawn Abbey in Pearisburg, Va. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the New River Hospice or Newport-Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church.
