REPORTED EARNINGS

Hillenbrand Industries, Batesville, Ind., owner of Medeco Security Locks Inc. and an electronics division at Salem, on Tuesday reported fourth-quarter net income of $44.9 million, or 63 cents per share, up from $24.1 million, or 34 cents per share, in the year-earlier period. Net revenues were $393.4 million compared with $29.5 million.

For the year, net income was $145.8 million, or $2.04 per share, up from $116.3 million, or $1.62 per share a year earlier. Revenues were $1.4 billion compared with $1.3 billion.
