WATERCOLOR SOCIETY PLANS JAN. 28 TRIP TO ASHEVILLE

The Virginia Watercolor Society is sponsoring a trip to see the American Watercolor Society Traveling Exhibit 1993 and Paper USA/Finland Exhibit at the Asheville, N.C., Art Museum. The group will also visit the Biltmore Estate, art galleries and other shops.

The bus, provided by Great American Vacations, will leave the Salem commuter parking lot at Virginia 311 and exit 140 of Interstate 81 at 6:30 a.m. on Jan. 28. The bus will stop at 7 a.m. to pick up New River Valley travelers at the Days Inn parking lot in Christiansburg at U.S. 460 and exit 118 of Interstate 81. Additional stops at McDonalds restaurants in Fort Chiswell and Hillsville are available upon request.

Cost is $70 per person and includes transportation and a double room at the Best Western Central in downtown Asheville.

Deadline for reservations is Monday. Checks should be made payable to Vera Dickerson and mailed to her at 3232 West Arrowhead Court, Troutville, Va., 24175.
