CUB SCOUTS TO BUILD WOODEN DERBY CARS

Around 50 Cub Scouts of Pack 145, sponsored by St. Paul United Methodist Church, will participate in the Pinewood Derby on Saturday at the New River Vally Mall from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The boys get a block of pinewood and make a car out it. In the younger years, it's often a father-son activity. The older boys have some unique ideas of their own.
