GEARHEART, Mary M., 97, of Richfield Nursing Center, Salem, formerly of
Roanoke died Monday, January 10, 1994. She was preceded in death by her
husband, John C. Gearheart, Sr., two daughters, Charlotte M. Gearheart and
Mary G. Cuff. She is survived by six sons and daughters-in-law, John C. and
Madeline Gearheart, Jr., Floyd, Charles W. ("Bill") and Dorothy Gearheart,
Catawba, Robert W. and Haruko Gearheart, Winchester, Vernon E. ("Gene") and
Carole Gearheart, Ashford, Conn., James N. and Emma Gearheart, Ocoee, Fla.,
Jackie L. Gearheart, Roanoke; three daughters and sons-in-law, Helen G. and
Howard Guthrie, Salem, Margie G. and Carl Wyse, Archbald, Oh., Betty G.
Shockley, Salem; 39 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and 8
great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 13,
1994, 2 p.m. at Lotz Salem Chapel, with the Rev. Paul E. Alwine officiating.
Interment at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Lotz Salem
Chapel.
